Today is exactly 2 years since my first blog post on sqizit.bartletts.id.au. To celebrate, here’s some highlights and history from Sqizit.
Highlights
- 4 posts on music, including sheet music of my piano composition For Mandie.
- Pretty swirls in Python.
- Some software ideas that I haven’t really spent the time developing.
- Some software ideas which I did spend the time developing.
- A challenge about the role of the Bible in Australian churches.
- Some tips and troubleshooting notes.
History
- As I’ve mentioned before, Sqizit began its life in April 2009 on Google sites, but in that incarnation it was not a blog.
- In April 2010 I moved Sqizit to WordPress.
- In August 2010 Sqizit’s WordPress host had an extended outage. Following this, I moved Sqizit to a different host and updated the theme to what you see today, in January 2011.

@Web Development: What kind of details are you interested in?
@Valarie: If you’re paranoid about losing what you’ve worked hard on, I suggest regular backups, preferably saved in a location physically separated from where your data is.
Hi, I just stopped in to visit your site and thought I’d say I had a great visit.
Thanks!
I like the invaluable data you give in your posts. I will bookmark your weblog and check again here frequently. I am pretty certain I will learn lots of new stuff right here!
@wifi access point, I’ll admit that there’s data in the article, but I would not have called it invaluable. Simply interesting information. You are more than welcome to check here again frequently, and let me encourage you that, should learning be your desire, you could do worse than to start by reading good blog posts.
